Sometimes life's obstacles bring you closer to your destiny

The one that got away.

The part that got away.

The job that got away.

There are many things, opportunities, people, relationships that we wished we got or held on to, thinking that they were the key to a better life, to happiness.

We look at them with regret, with a sense of loss having that door shut on us.

But most of the time, as we continue to live our lives, meet more people, stumble upon new opportunities, we later realize that that door was shut for a reason - so we may try and open another.

The Universe's way of nudging us toward a different path.

Knowing this and moving forward, don't let the things that don't work out make you feel any less. Don't let them chip away at your confidence and sense of self-worth. They have nothing to do with them. It just wasn't for you in this season or perhaps in this life.

Don't stop.

It's no reason to give up.

It doesn't mean there aren't any more doors left to open.

In fact, there are many.

This is just one of thousands.

And instead of thinking of it as something that was taken away from you, think of it as a gift that is pushing you forward, helping you eliminate one more avenue that does not lead you to your destiny.

Life has a way of guiding you toward what it is you really want through breakups, rejections, and what appears to be a missed opportunity.

It often just takes us awhile to realize it. Not until we've actually come across the real deal.

So save yourself the heartache.

The things you lose, you lose for a reason. And that reason could be hiding right behind the next door you open.
